Metal diaphragms are classified according
to type and usage as follows.
| Diaphragms | Classification of usage | Function | Usage example |
| For linear operation | Pressure sensor | Converting pressure to displacement Isolating layer of pressured medium Converting load to displacement |
For pressure sensor (for proportional increase) For semiconductor pressure sensor For strain gauge |
| Protecting element by hermeticity | Outside shelter of element | For element(piezo, thermal) | |
| For amplification at the specific place | Pressure sensor | Converting pressure to displacement | For pressure sensor (for amplification at the specific place) |
| Shaft sealing | Airtight sealing | For small valve | |
| For popping operation | Pressure sensor | Converting pressure to displacement | For pressure sensor (for sensing hysteresis) |
| Shaft sealing | Airtight sealing | For small valve |
| Metal diaphragms are used basically as an
external force detector element (converting
external force into displacement or
force)
or an isolating layer (pressure conductor
or partition to maintain a vacuum.) These metal diaphragms are used singly or plurally after junction (welding, soldering, or adhesion) or packing sealing. Pressure detector element: It changes positive pressure or negative pressure into displacement. Isolating layer: It is used in the sealing mechanism which shuts down gas and liquid in the part driving in the axis direction, and in conveyance of pressure from the outside indirectly after filling medium such as liquid which has little shrinkage. Please decide the assembly shapes. If the thickness of the diaphragm is thin, some assembly methods may cause distortion and abnormal operation. Please contact us. |
